The Mediterranean diet pattern is such pattern which become darling of researches lately,a loads of information's have been published regarding the Mediterranean diet .Mediterranean diet contains generous amount of olive oil,in fact we are just in the beginning to understand the countless ways that how olive oil helps us to improve our health.Even I consider olive oil as a medicine cause of its health benefits :).Here I sum up three key points which I read somewhere,these points tell us how olive oil helps us to prevent chronic disease.-
1.Daily intake of two tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil improves blood lipid profile which reduces risk of heart diseases.
2.It contains Marvelous polyphenols that have antioxidant properties which is good for our health,so select EVOO that are rich in polyphenols.
3.Now the question arises that polyphenol content is not mentioned anywhere,so how to choose? choose high quality of EVOO that are packed in dark containers with harvest date closest to the most recent season.
By keeping these keys in mind you can utilize the goodness of olive oil in the best possible way.
